Quadrat is a responsive tumblr theme I designed and developed. The layout is based on a grid that keeps the content in nicely organized squares. I built in some typeface and color customization, created unique permalink pages for each type of post, and illustrated .svg graphics to match tumblr's default icons. You can view a working demo here: Quadrat.
At zulily I create and curate imagery for site, email, and marketing use – this includes designing and creating composite graphics as well as selecting in-house and vendor imagery and purchasing stock images. Additionally I work on visual identity for our women's homepage section and create assets, pallets, and style guides. Examples of my design, production, and composite work are shown here.

An illustration series based on the industrial design of Dieter Rams. This project was executed with the goal of exploring asymmetry and gaining a better understanding of mapping and grid systems in relation to user centered design, all while keeping Rams' virtues in mind, "Less but better."
I was contracted by Blue Squid Media to work on the landing page and graphics for Chateau Development's custom wordpress theme. The design included some basic layout and fun UI features that would work with the theme's responsive framework. The full site can be viewed online here: customhomebuilderlv.com.

For my undergraduate BFA thesis I created a short book telling the story of Daedalus and three "sons" lives he influenced: Icarus, Perdix, and Minos. I created graphics using hand created textures, custom line art and patterns, and a mixture of found art and personal photographs. The books was four color process printed then hand folded and bound using an exposed long stitch. This project was presented in Pacific Lutheran University's annual senior art show in fulfillment of graduation requirements for the School of Arts & Communication.
I spent a year working as a co-editor on Saxifrage 37 during my undergraduate studies. One of the issues I always had with marketing for the publication was that it lacked a visual identity. To combat this I created a graphic and text logo with input from few future editors, then had some marketing materials printed to give away at involvement fairs, open houses, and other events. This solution provided the organization with a bit of control over their visual identity without limiting the usage of the logo or strictly committing to the same colors or typefaces, in turn students are able to recognize the name and logo from year to year but still expect something new and fresh from each years co-editors.
